The Mecklenburg Chapter will welcome Dr. Hugh Dussek as our special Presidents‘ Day Community guest on February 18, 2021.
Hugh will be speaking on The Scots-Irish and the Founding of Mecklenburg County. I think you will find him an entertaining and engaging speaker with a wealth of knowledge.
Originally from London, England, Hugh has lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, for over twenty years. Hugh holds a doctoral degree in history from Union Institute & University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is a professor at Central Piedmont in Charlotte, where he teaches courses on world civilizations, American history, and the history of North Carolina. Hugh serves on the Board of Trustees for The Charlotte Museum of History, and gives presentations in the community and on television about American, British and local history.
This special Presidentss Day event in Charlotte is perfect for all ages, groups, families and anybody who loves American history!
