Here is your opportunity to own a set of the Mecklenburg SAR’s very own challenge coins and lapel pins celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence on May 20, 1775.

The coins are solid brass with inlaid color. They are 1.75 inches in diameter.

The front of each coin has the crossed quill pens to represent the signers. The back of one coin honors Thomas Polk reading the MeckDec from the Mecklenburg County Courthouse steps. The back of the other coin pays tribute to Captain James Jack who delivered the document to the 2nd Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia.

One pin features Captain Jack as he appears on the challenge coin. The other pin displays the crossed quill pens in a pewter-like finish.
